Backyard Wedding In Palm Springs

Palm Springs Destination Wedding

Elopement Palm Springs

When Kelly and Ben first contacted me about their destination wedding in Palm Springs photography needs I knew from the start it was going to be a low-stress and fun occasion. Maybe it was the talk about cold beers, death metal or the guest count of 15 people. I’m not completely sure, but I knew these were cool people from the start and I wanted to photograph the snowbirds. I say snowbirds because these two Minnesota locals wanted to break away from the ice fishing, Milwaukee’s Best beer and subzero temperatures to get married in a location that had energy, art and most importantly sunshine. Also, I’m sorry for stereotyping Minnesota folks as ice fishing people who love cheap beer but the statistics actually verify my statements. Ben and Kelly chose Palm Springs for their wedding and only needed a few hours of coverage to document their wedding ceremony, capture some family photos and rock a portrait session in the desert. They found this rad little property off Palm Canyon Drive that Kelly said was likely used as the setting for numerous pornos given that mirrors seemed to decorate the ceilings in many rooms and even one area in the courtyard. Since I love any place that has a romantic history I was also fond of the location. I will stop jibber jabbering now and let you check out Ben and Kelly’s Palm Springs wedding photos which you will see below this sentence. Cheers!
