Boho Temecula Wedding
When most people get married in Temecula, California they usually choose one of the many kick ass wedding venues in wine country such as Europa Village or Mount Palomar Winery. Don’t get me wrong, I love photographing weddings in Temecula wine country, but every once in a while a bride and groom will opt for a private residence, rock the entire wedding DIY style and the outcome is epic. That is what happened with Alex and Sean’s 1970s bohemian, hippie-inspired Temecula wedding. To give you a rough idea how awesome this wedding was picture a processional with Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer” playing, a recessional where Black Sabbath’s “The Wizard” is blaring through the speakers and the bride and groom jumping on the back of a Harley Davidson after the ceremony. This boho wedding was pure fire, like Alex’s stunning red hair. The signature cocktails resulted in a good buzz, wedding party attire was totally unique and the good times rock & rolled from evening until early morning. Seriously, Alex and Sean’s bohemian, hippie style wedding was f***ing awesome. I loved everything about the wedding and can’t even describe all the amazing details in words so the best thing to do is have you simply scroll down and check out the photographs for yourself. My vision for the wedding was for it to feel like you walked right into the 1970s! In order to make the wedding as authentic as possible it called for a lot thrift store and eBay shopping. The things I wanted but couldn’t find or buy I made by hand. Let’s just say there was a lot of very late night macrame and craft nights! Although it was challenging and a little crazy trying to re-create a true vintage 1970s wedding, from buying all vintage fabric, furniture, rugs, vases, plates, and even salt and pepper shakers, seeing my 70s dream day come to life, was totally worth it. My wedding was seriously the very best day ever!
