Engaged In Fullerton, California
As I write this I am literally 36,984 feet in the air somewhere above Kansas I would imagine. I’m heading to Chicago to photograph a wedding at the Waldorf downtown and since my wife and baby are both sleeping I figured I would take the free time I have to blog a recent engagement session I photographed at Craig Park in Fullerton, California. So here is a little background information on the two main characters in the engagement photos below. Gabe is a firefighter who also placed second in the 2015 Orange County Karaoke Championships. He developed his talent while fighting brush fires in Northern California and passing the time by working on vocal arrangements to the popular Latin pop stylings of Ricky Martin. During the engagement session, he told me wildfires, like people, have strong emotion and when he sings to the fires they calm down enough for him to extinguish the flames. Now there is no statistical data to back up his claims but I do know he’s quickly moving up the ranks in his fire department and he does indeed have the voice of an angel. I literally sobbed like a baby when I heard him sing “Living La Vida Loca”. It was beyond beautiful.
Jaime is a much different but equally unique individual. She is a nurse who genuinely enjoys helping people. Although she admitted that Canadian people tend to carry a heavy maple syrup odor that can sometimes be distracting when she is working, especially on pancake day. Jaime is also known to shed a tear when listening to Gabe sing but prefers not to sing herself. She would rather spend her free time working on chapters for her new book: “The Fun Of Proctology: A Beginner’s Guide”. I never knew the ass and BMs were so exciting until Jaime brought me into this beautiful world of proctology. I’m really looking forward to reading her book when it becomes available on Amazon in 2017.
Now that you know the characters involved in this engagement session it is time for the viewing portion of the post. Check out the photos below and feel free to leave a comment. My mom is the only one who comments on my photos these days and although I do love the support it sure would be nice to hear from someone else every once in a while. You can just comment “hi” or tell me to go f*** myself. I’m open to pretty much anything.
