Getting Married In Palm Springs

Each year I photograph roughly 25 weddings. The whole process of documenting a wedding is something I truly enjoy and therefore try and keep the number of weddings I photograph each year to a limited number, as I totally don’t want to over-saturate myself. I do not like packing in 3 photo sessions in a weekend or feeling overwhelmed with work. I firmly believe too much wedding photography in a short period of time stunts my creativity and has the potential to lead to burnout. But even in a busy May wedding season I found time to squeeze in Bernard and Tina’s elopement in Palm Springs, California. I was only out in the Palm Springs desert for two hours with them but our time together was amazing. The intimacy and energy of an elopement is invigorating. No Pinterest details, wedding parties or overly meticulous timelines. Just two people whose only plan was to 1) get married and 2) go get drinks. This day was completely refreshing and it is weddings like this that keep my fire going. Not to mention, a break from the Temecula wedding photography scene is always a welcomed change of pace!
