When Anthony and Michelle informed me that their May wedding and reception would be held at Twin Oaks House & Garden Estate in San Marcos, California I have to admit I was pretty freaking stoked. The reason was because as a Temecula wedding photographer the majority of the venues I photograph are in the wineries. But as awesome and classy as day drinking in the vineyards can be, as an artist it is important to have a change of scenery at times to keep the competitive juices flowing. Mixing it up is good for the soul and churns creativity like a hairy Amish chick churning butter. But this wedding blog post isn’t about day drinking or hairy women but rather Anthony and Michelle.
Anthony was a roadie for Ricky Martin in the early 2000s and would sub in as a backup dancer if one of Ricky’s regulars twisted an ankle or burned themselves in a tanning bed. Anthony was a talented dancer but honestly he just wasn’t able to secure a full-time position due to an arthritic pelvis that would flare up occasionally. Although Anthony would never hold a spot in the big leagues as a full-time backup dancer to Ricky Martin he did meet Michelle at one of the concerts. The two would eventually swap numbers and stories of romance over margaritas. Anthony quickly decided that he would stop chasing the dream of being a dancer and began chasing Michelle. The two got engaged and recently got married. Below are the wedding photos from their incredible day at Twin Oaks House & Garden Estate.
Unfortunately, Ricky Martin was unable to attend the wedding due to a scheduling conflict. However, he did send a lovely gift basket filled with exotic body oils and European swimwear. Anthony said it was the perfect gift.
